Letting your office space: the viewing

It's almost time: you're getting an important visit from a nice company coming to view your office!

In a few simple steps we explain in detail how to make the viewing go off without a hitch. Ready?

Step 1: Preparation

First impressions are always very important. Make sure the office space looks its best and is nicely tidied up. Also gather some relevant documents and information that are handy to have on hand during the viewing.

Think of the following, for example:

• The lease with the correct terms.
• A floor plan of the office.
• An overview of the service charges.

In the invitation you'll find the contact details of the party coming over. Read up well so you know who's coming and what they do. That way you can ask targeted questions and avoid any surprises.

Step 2: The office tour

Your guests have arrived and you've already rolled out the red carpet! Once the party has settled in, the tour can begin.

Show the Plekky at its best! Choose a logical route and share the nicest anecdotes about the office. And don't forget to say something about the surroundings and accessibility.

Ask plenty of questions too. Think of, for example:

• From when do they want to rent?
• Are they also considering other options?

TIP: Sometimes parties like to walk around on their own so they can confer. Be sure to give them that space.

Step 3: Follow-up

Finally, it's useful to make clear follow-up arrangements. Agree, for instance, when they expect to be able to give an update or would like to visit again.
